As much as possible, we work with patients and insurance companies to ensure that private speech-language therapy is an affordable option for all families with children requiring therapy. Although we can not guarantee benefits for speech-language therapy, we always work together with parents to obtain the highest level of coverage their policies allow.
We will contact your insurance company to obtain information about the wording of your policy. We will also file all claims to insurers and Health Care Spending/Flex Benefit Accounts for you. Please be aware that insurance coverage for speech-language therapy may require "medical necessity," which means your child must have a physical or medical reason, documented by a doctor, for the speech-language difficulty.
For services and fees not payable to us, we require payment at the time of services. On an individual basis, and in cases of true financial hardship with significant child need for services, we will discuss payment options. We also work together with foundations which provide funding for speech-language therapy.
